During the 2018-2019 Academic Year

CUE reviewed the following:

  • 14 new courses for the General Education Program
  • 8 existing courses were added to the General Education Program
  • 183 courses reviewed to remain part of the General Education Program
  • 15 courses reviewed to be dropped from the General Education Program
  • 22 GEP Honors Special Topics Offerings were reviewed for experimental inclusion with the General Education Program
  • 7 GEP Special Topic Shell Offerings were reviewed for experimental inclusion with the General Education Program
  • The GER>GEP review significantly impacted and increased the amount of work of this committee in comparison to previous years (275 actions were considered this year in comparison to 97 actions in 2017-2018).

UCCC reviewed the following:

Courses

  • 62 new undergraduate courses were reviewed
  • 438 undergraduate courses were reviewed for edits
  • 32 undergraduate courses were dropped

Curricula

  • 1 new degree was created
  • 1 new certificates were created
  • 4 new concentrations were created
  • 4 new minors program werecreated
  • 191 curricula were revised (many due to the 120-hour requirement from the UNC System Office)
  • 8 curricula were discontinued (suplans, minors, prefix)
